Notice of Boil Order – For Gladys Ave & Isabel Drive

NOTICE OF LOCALIZED BOIL ORDER – GLADYS AVE & ISABEL DRIVE

This is an urgent notification from Illinois American Water.   IAW crews are making emergency repairs due to a water main break beginning at 8:30am on Tuesday, 09/15/26 in Godfrey.    If You reside in the affected area on Gladys Ave. & Isabell St. you may experience a service interruption or low water pressure.   Repairs are expected to take approximately 7 hours to complete.   When water is restored (after the work has been completed) those streets will be under a Boil Water Order.   IAW will notify residents when this Boil Water Order is lifted.

Any water to be used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for 5 minutes. Water is OK for bathing, laundry, and other common uses.

If you are a landlord and water service is in your name, please inform your tenants so they are aware of this impact to their water service.  In keeping with American Water’s focus on safety for both customers and employees, please do not approach IAW crews while they work.
