Agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Piasa Studios LLC for your use of this website. Using this website means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use this website.

Acceptable Use

Use this website lawfully. Specifically, do not:

• Break the law with it
• Try to break into it, or into anything connected to it
• Send malicious code, spam, or bulk unsolicited messages through it
• Copy, resell, or redistribute its content without our written permission
• Scrape it with automated tools, except as our robots.txt allows
• Use its content to train an AI model, or to build a dataset for training one, without our written permission

We can restrict or end your access to this website if you do any of that.

Accounts

Your Account

Some features require an account.

• You must be at least 13 to create an account
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for activity under your account
• Give us accurate information, and keep it current
• You may close your account at any time
• We may suspend or close an account that is being used to break these terms or the law

Subscriptions and Billing

Subscriptions, Renewal, and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

• You must be 18 or older to start a paid subscription
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel
• You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal
• When you cancel, you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for
• We will tell you before your price changes, and you can cancel before the new price takes effect
• Payments already made are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we decide otherwise in a given case
• If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it clears
• If we discontinue a paid feature or stop the service, we will refund the part of your current period you have paid for and not used
• If we end your access for breaking these terms or the law, the rest of your paid period is not refunded
• If you close your account, any paid subscription ends and the rest of the period is not refunded. If you want to keep access until the period ends, cancel instead of closing

Intellectual Property

The text, images, layout, and design on this website belong to Piasa Studios LLC or to whoever supplied them, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read and use this website personally. You may not republish, redistribute, or build on its content without our written permission.

Third-Party Content and Links

This website links to other websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or how they handle your data. Visiting them is your own risk.

Advertising

Some content on this website is paid advertising. We label it as such.

• Advertisers are responsible for their own claims, offers, and pricing
• An ad appearing here is not an endorsement by us
• We measure ad views and clicks, but we do not build advertising profiles about you or sell your personal information

Our total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid us nothing.

Indemnification

If someone brings a claim against Piasa Studios LLC because of how you used this website, because you broke these terms, or because you violated someone else's rights, you agree to cover the resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Madison County, Illinois.

Severability

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Transfers

We may transfer these terms to another company if this business is sold, merged or reorganized, including a change in the kind of company it is. You may not transfer your account or subscription to anyone else, or pass on any rate, price or benefit attached to them.

Changes to These Terms

We can change these terms. When we do, we post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use this website after that means you accept the change.

River and Weather Conditions

The conditions we show — river stage, forecasts, and weather alerts — are relayed from government sources: the National Weather Service, NOAA's National Water Prediction Service, and the U.S. Geological Survey. We pass their data through. We do not produce it, correct it, or guarantee that what you see is current.
